Clippin' wings

We awoke yesterday morning to the sight of a white hen feeding carelessly around in the side yard - a sure sign that it was time to clip some wing feathers. With the killer yorkie-poo patrolling the yard and attacking anything that moves, chickens outside the pen is not a good thing. Kelley began chasing down the chickens while Betsy photographed, then Arnie joined in. After a lot of laughter, wing flapping, and gnashing of beaks, the wings were clipped and all was well.

Answer to yesterday's count the animals (don't look if you haven't read yesterday's post below!) : 13 chickens, 1 duck, 2 goats, and one dog.
