Arnie bought Skeet as a puppy in Elrod, Indiana in 1998 when we knew we were moving to the farm. We had always wanted another fox terrier since "Buddy" was hit by a car in 1985. We waited until we lived in the country because even though we love fox terriers, they shed too much white hair to be inside dogs. We got Casey (lab mix) at the same time, and the two of them have roamed the Patoka bottoms like Pumbaa and Timon for almost 12 years. They have moused together, caught fugitives from the law, and caused general mischief.
Skeet is famous among Arnie's hunting buddies for becoming possessive of any wild game that is brought home for processing. She faithfully stands guard until the job is done and she gets to feast on whatever pieces parts (remember that commercial?) get thrown her way. No other pet dares go near the vicinity of wild game processing.
