Mouth

Boscoe is a 90 pound Treeing Walker Coonhound that came to live with us a year ago. His former owner -someone that probably didn't care for his fear of gunshots - thought that the end of Carithers Road would be a great place for him to live and deposited him there in the dark of night.

He is all mouth and he loves to run. He looks like a beagle on stilts. Very long stilts. He and Betsy are quite an image when she is walking him, as she did yesterday. There are legs going everywhere. Actually, he takes her on walks, all she does is hook on the leash, open the gate, and hang on. It's like a bull ride. Eight seconds is a good walk.

His love of running (and trailing anything that leaves a scent) makes him a favorite of the Schafers (he keeps deer out of their orchard), but it also makes him not so popular with the Schafers during deer season (he keeps deer out of their orchard). Arnie doesn't care for his deer trailing during season, either (he keeps deer out of their orchard). So...Boscoe stays in his pen from October thru the first week of December.
