Abbey turned 17 yesterday. She celebrated by going to watch her friend Jessica Allen score 20 points in a game against Oakland City University. Hard to believe that in just one year, she'll be off to college and on her own like Jessica is.
In the photo above, she was deer scouting with Arnie on Wednesday evening. The two of them are planning on going out on opening day Saturday morning. (Arnie will be sitting on the ground in front of the logs that Abbey is sitting on.) She shot the 12 gauge this morning before school to make sure it shoots where she aims it. It did, so she is set. Hopefully we'll have another photo of her with a record-book buck this weekend. (We tried to post a picture of the record book buck she killed when she was 11, but the computer is acting up - that can be a posted on a slow day perhaps.)
