Abbey blows the jug ten feet in the air

Abbey's friend, John, brought over his grandpa's M-1 Springfield yesterday to show it off. He had two boxes of shells and none left the farm intact. It sounded like a real war when John shot - a couple of times, he ripped off 7 or 6 rapid shots (a little Justin Wilson lingo there). Duane Englert, the local Game Warden happened to be across the river looking for poachers and sped our way upon hearing the shots. He stopped near Bulldog Bridge just to see where the shots were coming from and when he determined that it was just those crazy Howes's, he moved on up the river. Shooting a gun that had actually shot Japanese soldiers during WWII was an experience. It is far better to be behind that gun than in front of it.
