November was so comfortable and the deer hunting so good that Arnie didn't hustle to get the new hot bed finished. Now, it is nasty weather outside and we're going to have to cover the manure with soil and transplant the greens in uncomfortable circumstances.
Lady doesn't like the cold, wind, and rain either. When it is like that outside, she usually spends her day standing around in the stalls. That makes for some easy manure-scooping - we try to "harvest" all of it, inside or outside, for the garden. It has to be long, boring days for her, though.
