Fat coon

Arnie and the girls have spent a lot of time in the woods behind the house lately, trying to clean it up and manage it for firewood production. Four of the last five times they have been back there, they've seen a fat old coon up in a squirrel's nest high up in an oak tree. It never moves much, probably trying not to be seen. We're wondering how much more it will put up with. The axe and the chain saw must be disturbing its daytime slumber. You can see its lighter-colored furry back if you look closely at the top of the nest in the picture above.
