Dad has a couple of patches of wild asparagus that he spotted last summer while on bike rides. One is about a mile from the house, so he stopped on the way home from work last night and picked some. We added it to some we picked over at Schafers' and it tasted great.
We started our own patch last spring by digging some up from Schafers'. We split them into so many smaller plants that they are still not big enough to pick. We'll have a dandy patch next year, though.
