Due to a busy schedule, dad didn't get out and pick many mushrooms. He did get to go one time though, and came back with half a Wal-Mart bag of big yellow ones. Mom cooked them up and they didn't last long.

Why do we blog so much?
We've always kept a journal, but to read the journal meant that you had to be on a certain computer. In September, 2009, we began using this blog so that friends and family can read it too. The best part though, is that at the end of the year, we can have a book made of the year's posts and the kids will appreciate it (finally) when they are our age!
We're a family of four living above the Patoka "Log on Bottom" River in Gibson County, IN.
We grow a large garden, make maple syrup, and raise a host of pets and farm animals, currently including Lucy, Casey, and Skeet (dogs), Pumpkin (cat), Minnie & Sadie (goats) and 20+ chickens.
