Summer's last bounty

The summer veggies are winding down. The tomato plants are dried up mostly, but still have several small green and yellow/orange tomatoes hanging on. The peppers and okra are still producing, but at a much slower pace due to the cooler temperatures and shorter days. It won't be long and the fall veggies (brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, beets, kale, kohlrabi, and turnips) will begin maturing.

The girls both helped pick this basket of goodies last night before Abbey went to spend the night at Schafers' house (Arin is sick with mono, Ab is helping her catch up homework) and before Betsy drove the 4-wheeler around in the side yard again.
