It has been a rainy couple of days in the Patoka River bottoms. The weather service issued a rare flood warning 24 hours before the rain even started, they were so sure that there would be torrential rains. The ground is very saturated, but we don't think the river will get out of its banks except for about 3 miles upstream in the Oatsville bottoms. Arnie took the afternoon off work today to begin cleaning the inside of the pole barn. He got bored with it after about 4 hours and came in to eat cookies and taste the green tomato relish.
