Arnie and Kelley spent part of the afternoon yesterday installing the pvc chicken feeder that Abbey assembled on Saturday. Until now, the chicken feed was scattered on the ground, resulting in feed lost due to wet ground and sticky chicken feet (we hate sticky chicken feet!) Now that the new feeder is installed, the feed is poured into the top of the pvc pipe and then it flows down and through the wall of the cabin to a horizontal section of pvc inside the chicken coop that is attached to the back of the cabin. All is weather-proof and sticky chicken feet can't get into the feeder!
The first patron coming into the coop to dine at the pvc diner!
