Here is another picture that Dad and Betsy took on their whirlwind photography tour of the back and side yards. This is the view from our side yard down the road toward Chapmans' house.

Why do we blog so much?
We've always kept a journal, but to read the journal meant that you had to be on a certain computer. In September, 2009, we began using this blog so that friends and family can read it too. The best part though, is that at the end of the year, we can have a book made of the year's posts and the kids will appreciate it (finally) when they are our age!
We're a family of four living above the Patoka "Log on Bottom" River in Gibson County, IN.
We grow a large garden, make maple syrup, and raise a host of pets and farm animals, currently including Lucy, Casey, and Skeet (dogs), Pumpkin (cat), Minnie & Sadie (goats) and 20+ chickens.
