Our cabin garden is finally beginning to look finished. Dad took a vacation day on Friday and worked a lot on the patio. He hauled two pickup loads of sand to get 2" on top of the 4.5" of gravel base.
Then he leveled it and came back to find cat tracks in the nice smooth sand. That didn't hurt anything, though.
Next came the pavers, which was the easy part of the project. Mom handed them to him to lay until the laundry and dishes called her in. Abbey showed up after school and handed some more to him.
One of the last steps was sweeping sand into the cracks. That will go on for a couple more days. In the mean time, dirt will be packed around the outside bricks to keep them in place. We'll wait and post a finished picture once the dirt is hidden by plants and mulch and it looks complete.
