Dad planted about 40 persimmon trees that he started from seed several years ago. The deer always nipped them off until Boscoe showed up year before last. All of a sudden, the trees have begun growing. He needs to get healed up, because the deer are starting to venture into the persimmon patch again. He is standing and taking slow steps now - he probably still has about 3-4 weeks to go before he can get out and about.
