We've got some onions going on. Last year's onions were not as good as we wanted and with research, we learned that onions do not tolerate competition from weeds very well at all. So, this year we have faithfully kept the weeds out and the results are good. The onions have been healthy enough to withstand several assaults by neighborhood dogs - dad had to put wires around the two beds to prevent more damage. If we can get a root storage system set up in time, we should have all the onions we need through the winter and spring.
