The Schafers' current orchard dogs are very nice and sociable dogs. When they get off their chains, they come to our house to hang out. Unfortunately, Boscoe is terrified of them and that is what got him run over the other day. This picture was taken the day before the accident. They are such nice dogs that it is hard to be mean to them or to chase them off, so dad now just takes them back to their runs. Their purpose in life is to chase deer from the orchard and they can't do that if they are sleeping on our back porch.
