Abbey ran in the conference meet last night at Northeast Dubois. While last year she won the more difficult Big Eight Conference meet at Princeton, last night she only managed a second even though she ran her best time of the year. The girl from South Knox is a very good runner and Abbey said if she had to lose, she wanted to lose to her. Oh well. Something to shoot for next week in the sectional and next year when her knee is fully recovered. A 25-1 regular season is still pretty good.
