With comfortable temperatures and a full moon, it was a good time for the first wienie roast of the year. We drug the chairs over to the burn pile near the big beech tree at the end of the driveway and lit off the pile of butterfly bush trimmings and then tossed on piece or two of firewood. Wieners, chips, and dirt pudding were the fare.
We made the mistake of leaving the chairs around the fire when we went in. The wind picked up overnight and one of them tipped over into the coals. All that is left of it is a frame. Bummer.
The flowered chair on the right suffered a painful death during the night
