The inefficient evaporator made for some late hours
After days of boiling sap, Dad called it quits earlier in the week. He made one and a half gallons of sap by boiling 60-70 gallons of sap. There is plenty more sap, but with the inefficient concrete block evaporator, it was taking too much wood and too much time. We know what to do now, so we're looking forward to next year when we'll be better prepared. At least we have enough to last us most of the year.
