Christmas Eve

Mom cuts up breakfast pineapple the night before

Christmas Eve was busy around our house. Mom spent all morning cleaning the house and dad worked on his maple syrup evaporator. It began snowing around 1pm and things really began looking Christmas-y. Dad cut and split a pickup load of firewood in the afternoon while mom and Betsy began preparing for the big breakfast on Christmas morning. There was a couple of inches by dark and about three inches by 9pm.

Dad lays firebricks on the bottom of the future firebox

Casey comes in to check out the evaporator as the snow comes down
