Lederhosen on the dance floor
After the Chicken Place Saturday night, mom and dad strolled past the biergarten to listen to some polka music and to people watch. The Strassenfest is definitely one of, if not the, nicest street festivals in Indiana. It is well-attended and has no shortage of activities for an entire weekend. There were three bands playing in a two block area. There were hundreds of people in the biergarten and hundreds more up on the square.
It was hard to choose between the Strassenfest and the more quaint Zoar Mosquito Fest, both of which occur on the same weekend. Perhaps next year they can do one on one night and the other on the next night.
