We spent last night digging some potatoes that were planted too early for winter storage in the basement. Next year, we'll plant them a lot later so that they are ready to dig right before cold weather sets in. Mom has been making potato everything so that they get eaten up before they begin sprouting or going soft. Dad even canned some of the small ones.
