Dad just got back from Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, where Duke Energy has a plant. He rode his bike on a thirty mile round trip from the plant through Rabbit Hash, and then to Petersburg. The entire route was along the Ohio River.
Rabbit Hash made national news many years ago when they elected a dog "Goofy" as mayor. They have since euthanized Goofy and then voted in another dog. The General Store is the main attraction in the town. It has no plumbing - dad reports that they do have a brand new double outhouse. The back of the store is on stilts and sits above the creek mouth, which is at least 20 feet below.
He also stopped at the Rabbit Hash Roofing Company, Art Gallery, and Department of Tourism and visited with Dewayne Doyle for about a half hour.
