Mom and dad ate at Knob Hill Tavern in Newburgh on date night last week. Here's a cell phone photo of mom on the outside dining deck. They said it ranks about a "7" on the Dogtown Fried Chicken scale.

Why do we blog so much?
We've always kept a journal, but to read the journal meant that you had to be on a certain computer. In September, 2009, we began using this blog so that friends and family can read it too. The best part though, is that at the end of the year, we can have a book made of the year's posts and the kids will appreciate it (finally) when they are our age!
We're a family of four living above the Patoka "Log on Bottom" River in Gibson County, IN.
We grow a large garden, make maple syrup, and raise a host of pets and farm animals, currently including Lucy, Casey, and Skeet (dogs), Pumpkin (cat), Minnie & Sadie (goats) and 20+ chickens.
