Cukes & squash

Japanese Long Cucumbers and Crookneck Yellow Squash

The garden is coming on big time. We spent much of the weekend canning pickles. We also tried a "squash pickle" recipe. The only way to safely can summer squash is to pickle it, so that's what we did, using a recipe we found online. We've also eaten a lot of grilled squash already.
We're now looking to tag the biggest and best cucumbers and squash for seed saving. Cucumber and squash seeds are supposed to last 8-10 years, so we shouldn't have to buy these seeds ever again.
