Abbey had some friends over yesterday afternoon and they spent a lot of time sledding the pond dam. The extended cold spell has made the pond freeze over with thick ice, but Abbey and her friends were out on it without checking first. When Arnie insisted on life jackets because he hadn't measured the ice himself, they decided it wasn't so fun on the ice after all. Four teens in icy water wouldn't be a fun way to spend a 20 degree afternoon.
