Prairie Creek Park road trip

These trees are ready to be tapped (the taps are hanging down rather than stuck in the trees)

Dad stopped by Prairie Creek Park in Vigo County on his way home from a business trip yesterday. The park employees were in the process of tapping 1000 trees with 1500 taps. They use seven miles of tubing stretched from tree to tree. It makes our little operation look pretty primitive. At least we don't have to walk down seven miles of tubing every morning to fix breaks caused by deer or horses!
