Betsy preparing to dump her first maple jugs
The sun was out yesterday and the temperature got up near 40 degrees. That was just the kind of day we have been waiting on. dad tapped ten trees at 1pm and by the time he got back from picking Betsy up at school (3:30pm), the jugs contained about three gallons of sap. Betsy helped him pour the sap into the five-gallon Rural King bucket and they took it back to the house to boil down.
