Woodchuckercize

Mom and dad hate the dreadmill. Actually, we don't have a dreadmill, but we have an elliptical trainer. And it's a good one. But, time spent on it is just time spent on a machine that produces no tangible item or benefit other than to keep the winter pounds off. So, dad usually woodchucks for exercize during the winter.
He has four good-sized oak and hickory trees down from last spring's small tornado. The problem with them is that they are at the base of a very steep hill, one that is much too steep for a tractor to get down into. That's where the woodchuckercize comes in. He and mom carried up a load of firewood yesterday. It took a lot of calories to get that small load up to the woodchuck truck. It seems crazy to work so hard to get so little wood into the woodpile, but not as crazy as working so hard on a dreadmill with nothing at all to show for it.
