51 taps out

Dad put out 29 more taps in the rain last night, giving us 51 altogether. He finished off the first quart or so of syrup in the kitchen last night - we boiled a lot of it down by putting it on the woodstove and using it for humidity. There are already about thirty gallons of sap in the pole barn and probably another 25 out in the buckets awaiting boiling. Hopefully, dad can get the evaporator up and going this afternoon so that the first big batch can be done tomorrow.
