Uncle Fonghonk, Mom, and Skeet having a good time at 1:30am
Having gotten over 100 gallons of sap in the last couple of days, it was time for a boil. Dad couldn't begin getting things ready to boil until after work, so it was around 4pm when the fire finally got lit. Uncle Fonghonk and Aunt Sann brought over some great chili and stayed for most of the "all night" boil. Large amounts of fancy coffee, sassafras tea, and chili were consumed. It was an enjoyable time. The end result was almost two gallons of syrup for the night's efforts.
