With the price of corn going through the roof (thanks to our ingenious politicians and their ethanol), a large spill of corn on the Taftown curve south of the house did not go unnoticed. Dad saw it on his way home from work yesterday and immediately returned with the scoop shovel and a garbage can. When he was all done, he had scooped up about $20 worth of free goat & chicken feed. The small amount of gravel will be good for the chickens also.
He has threatened to do the same whenever there's a major acorn drop over a blacktop road, but he hasn't done it yet. Maybe next year...
