Betsy plays in front of her first crowd
Betsy's first recital was yesterday afternoon at the Francisco General Baptist Church. She played "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "What Child is This?". She was the only girl to play from memory, and she did pretty well. She hadn't liked practicing Holly Jolly Christmas, didn't like the song, but it was the one she did the best on. She had enjoyed playing the other, and had practiced it a lot, but it was the one she didn't do perfectly. Considering she has only been playing for six months or so, she has learned very quickly.
Aunt Sann and Uncle Fonghonk were there, as well as Pastor Darrel and DeeAnn Hillhouse (who dedicated Betsy as a baby).
Betsy and the group; she only knew Kenzie Ayers (third from the left in the back row) - Mrs. Bottoms is her teacher (on the right)
