There is no shortage of firewood to be had right now, if a person has a mind to work at it. Due to environmental great ideas (burning 2 gallons of fuel to make 1 gallon of ethanol and such), farmers are doing massive cleanouts of their fence rows. Many trees are coming down, and that couldn't be what the environmentals really wanted. Sometimes I wonder if their real goal is just to exert control over the rest of us...
Anyway, dad has been getting in on as much of the action as he can. Above is one of the several downed large maple trees that he has been cutting up.
