A cool day in the barn

Mom had to work yesterday morning, so dad, Abbey, and Betsy spent the morning and part of the afternoon in the pole barn doing odds and ends. Above, Abbey uses the $16 headlight clean-up kit to make her headlights transparent again. They had yellowed over so much that there wasn't much light in front of the car at night time.
Below, Betsy helps dad start several types of garden seeds. They started about 8 types of heirloom tomatoes, several hot and sweet peppers, ground cherries, three types of flowers and dill. The seeds were all sowed into milk jugs (the same ones that collected sap) that were cut in half. After a good watering, the containers were all placed on the floor near the wood stove inside.
