Dad left on his last business trip of the summer yesterday. He has been on the road a lot the last four months for a project and it is finally over. Now he can catch up everything that has gotten behind at home.
He took this picture as part of a running family joke about the Japanese Navy. The four of us went canoeing on the Blue River last summer and the river was full of Japanese people in canoes. They were obviously part of a Toyota group, but we joked about the "Japanese Navy". This particular flight to Detroit (his flight to Cincy got canceled) was loaded with Japanese one-week foreign exchange students returning to Japan from Princeton. He texted mom and told her he was flying with the Japanese Air Force...
