Mom and dad went to Nisbet Inn near Cynthiana last night after dad returned from Winston-Salem. They had barbeque, which is the Inn's specialty. The place is a very neat establishment in a tiny town (population probably about 5), that is stuck out in the middle of cornfields. It is obviously very old.

Why do we blog so much?
We've always kept a journal, but to read the journal meant that you had to be on a certain computer. In September, 2009, we began using this blog so that friends and family can read it too. The best part though, is that at the end of the year, we can have a book made of the year's posts and the kids will appreciate it (finally) when they are our age!
We're a family of four living above the Patoka "Log on Bottom" River in Gibson County, IN.
We grow a large garden, make maple syrup, and raise a host of pets and farm animals, currently including Lucy, Casey, and Skeet (dogs), Pumpkin (cat), Minnie & Sadie (goats) and 20+ chickens.
