Dad dumps the lifeless bees into the hive
We're still trying to get some feral bees to stock our hive with, but we're not having much luck. Dad got his hopes up yesterday when Russ Sheffler called and told him that he had vacuumed some bees out of a crane at the power plant. Unfortunately, the flyash in the shop-vac sand-blasted the poor bees and most were dead. The ones that were not dead did not live long.
Dad couldn't know that they were dead until he pulled off the duct tape and opened the vac. This morning, all of the bees were dead and in the bottom of the hive.
