Orioles

Not sure how many years in a row this is, but the orioles have set up housekeeping in the elm tree again. They seem to be very business-like in their behaviors. They show up in the spring in time to build their nest, lay their eggs, raise their young, and then leave the area as soon as the young ones can fly on their own.
We have two nests going this year. There is also one in the maple tree that is just outside of the spare bathroom window. We're glad to have them and always sad to see them go in early summer.
