An easy swarm to capture

An easy swarm to capture

Aunt Candy called to tell us that there was a swarm of bees under the seat of their picnic table and did we want them? Of course, dad wanted them. Last year's bees died out before the winter because dad put a second colony on the other side of the divider and the seal wasn't tight. (Resulted in a big fight between the bees in which the queen(s) were killed and there was no way for them to regenerate their numbers.)
Dad loaded up his gear and went over to Oakland City to get them. It was the easiest swarm he has captured. He just spritzed the swarm with sugar water (to make them less mobile), stuck the tub under them and then brushed them into it.
