Dad took this picture of Casey yesterday as she sat on the porch looking out over the bottoms. Casey has been with us ever since we moved to the farm in 1998. She has roamed the hills, chased the deer, dug for mice and moles, and fought coyotes. But, now as she realizes she doesn't have the energy she once had, she just watches the bottoms and probably remembers the good old days.
Once in a while she and Skeet explore down to the back pond, or go down to Chapmans to see about getting a treat. Most of the time however, they don't leave the yard. What a good life she and Skeet have lived. We hope that they can sit on the porch and watch the bottom for many more years.
