Dad, Neighbor Bill, and Dave Reising at the cliff
Camp Curl 2011 was a great success. Dad, Neighbor Bill, and Dave Reising went over on Friday and stayed through Sunday afternoon. Dave and dad hunted squirrels with their flintlocks (dad had already gotten his turkey the previous weekend), and Bill hunted deer.
The weekend was filled with good camp food - hog jowl, eggs, fried squirrel, corn mush & maple syrup and more. Bill saw more deer than in all previous trips combined - passing up one 9-pointer - and dad/Dave had plenty of action on gray squirrels. Below are several pictures that Dave took.

Dad shoots a gray squirrel at the top of the cliff. The squirrel rolled off and fell to the bottom, 100 feet below

Then nights were chilly in the 30s, so the stove burned both nights
