The PowerTeam dogwood was lost
We've had so many storms and rain this year that we've lost track. We had another last night and we lost our "PowerTeam" dogwood. It was small when we moved to the farm and had grown a lot in twelve years. The wind just snapped it off at the base. Our best memory of the tree was about 1999 when the "Power Team" was doing a three-day performance at our church and they came out to shoot clay pigeons. Somewhere, we have a picture of the girls with those huge muscle-bound guys next to that tree, one of them holding tiny Betsy - she was about three at the time.
We've found a lot of downed nests around the house this year
Our new generator has been used often in its first year
