End of the line

The crew on Taftown - this is the last pole before flipping the switch back on for us

We live at the end of the rural line, which means that we are always the first to lose power and the last to regain it. WinEnergy, formerly known as REMC, is our service provider. They do the best that they can, but with so many miles of lines, they are plagued with outages. Because of this, we have outfitted ourselves with a new generator and last year's woodstove. We don't quite care for living "off-grid", but we can do it fairly comfortably now.
