The willows by the pond
We got hard winds and 12" of snow Christmas night. Unbelievably, we did not lose power, although we did lose power the last night when a car hit a pole in front of the Allens' and Wildts' houses at Road 150E. The storm was well-predicted, so everyone was ready for it. The truck was able to get out easily enough, but we did not leave the farm all day.
The chickens and goats are well prepared; the chicken feeder is full to the top and the goats have fresh straw in their houses. Jack and Jake are warm in the loose hay, having over three feet of compressed hay between them and the ground. Skeet and Casey are spending much of the days indoors, and they are enjoying the warmth.
The drift on the chicken coop
The drift on the pond bank
The maple trees across the road (waiting to be tapped)
Snowshoes would have been nice
The path to the barn - it had to be dug out a couple of times due to drifting
Pumpkin and Casey liked the path to the barn
