The garden this year was beautiful - all the rain we had made everything green and lush. Problem was, many of the plants had little, or small, veggies attached. We only managed to harvest about 9 or 10 squash, two meals' worth of corn, a few potatoes, no carrots, very few radishes, very small onions, and hundreds of very small tomatoes.
Doing well were the okra, sweet potatoes, swiss chard, peppers (hot and sweet), and green beans. Because we planted so much, the low yields still gave us a lot of produce to put up. Kelley has canned salsa, tomato juice, pizza sauce, pickled peppers, pickled okra, elderberry juice, and has frozen several other veggies.
